We have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16 (NIV)
What does it mean to have the mind of Christ? How can we possibly learn to think like he does? If you want to know how Jesus thinks, then you have to know what Jesus has already said. That's why it's so important for us to be people of the Word. If you want to think like Jesus, then you have to know the Word of Christ.
You've often heard the popular question, "What would Jesus do?" If you truly want to know what Jesus would do in your situation, then you need to know what he has already said about similar situations. What has Jesus already said about ethics, morality, business, relationships, and money? If you know what he has said, you have a pretty good idea of how he thinks and what he would do in your situation. The Bible says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever" (Hebrews 13:8 NIV).
The mind of Christ is revealed in the Word of Christ by the Spirit of Christ. The Bible makes it clear that it is the Holy Spirit who makes God's Word understandable to us (see 2 Corinthians 2:9-16). The Holy Spirit is the one who teaches us and enables us to think with the mind of Christ. And he does it by "expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words" (verse 13).
You already have the mind of Christ because you have the Spirit of Christ—the Holy Spirit—living in you. The more you get into the Word of Christ, the more the Spirit of Christ will teach you to think with the mind of Christ.
