2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Therefore we do not give up. Even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day. For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory. So we do not focus on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

God/Christianity is attacked on a daily basis. People don’t want to believe in something they can’t see or touch. My own brother constantly is denying God. It breaks my heart, to hear him say those words, but I continue to pray for him. I Will never give up hope that one day God will speak to him, and he will change his heart. In this day and age people need something tangible. I blame the internet, and technology. We walk around with little computers in our hands, that gives us access to our whole life. I am guilty of being distracted by my phone. It’s easier to pick up your phone and check Facebook, over opening our bibles and spending time with God. God is bigger than technology, money, and anything else that we could possibly think of. God promises us eternal life. We do however have to spend our time on earth as his disciples. Spreading the word of God, love, and hope. It can be frightening at times. It’s sad that if you are a nice person now a days people want to know your intentions. You can’t just do nice things for people anymore. God on the other hand only wants our love, and to have a deep meaningful relationship with us. We only have the have the faith of a mustard seed, help others when they are in need, pray for others, give without expectation, trust God, knowing that all things are possible with Him. As Christians we don’t need to see God to know he is there. We can feel him in our hearts, and see his work when something only he can do happens in our lives, or the lives of the people we love. Like the verse says “what is seen in temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” Heaven is eternal, and what a blessing that will be.
