Words Best Planner
1 The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.
2 All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirit.
3 Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established.
4 The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.
- Proverbs 16:1-4
What a fitting wonderful passage for this morning. The election is over and people all over are feeing one way or another. Either their plans were thwarted, or their plans were supported. Their hopes came true, or their fears did.
The reality is we all think we know best. We all have our opinions on how things in this world should work, but there is only one who is in control, God.
Whether you voted for Trump, Clinton, 3rd party, or not at all, you have one job here. Commit your work to the Lord. Live your life for Him! If you do, you will never be disappointed. That doesn't mean it's going to be easy, but when it's hard, you are prepared.
Think of all the apostles. Did they ever complain about how hard it was, or about things not going their way? Nope. They didn't. And man, they were facing a brutal future filled with hate towards them and a promise from Jesus that they would be hated.
Church, I want to implore you this morning to keep working for the Lord. Live your life with Him as the primary focus, His heart as your heart. The passage says your plans will be established. The reason for that is because He will make His plans your plans the more you are with Him. That's the funny thing about God...His plans are always good, and never don't work out.
Press into Him. You won't be disappointed. He is a good planner. And He's always going to win out anyway! So no matter how you feel about the outcome of this election, God isn't surprised. He planned it this way, and He is worth following.
Love you guys more than you know.
Praying for you this morning.
Charlie
